For job seekers
The Europass CV makes job applications both in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe just that little bit easier. The Europass CV is a European standard model CV that you can use if you are looking for a job or work placement in the European Union.
You can use the Europass CV to present information about:
- who you are
- your work experience
- the education and training that you have taken and/or completed
- your language skills
- your personal skills and competences
- additional information (other activities and hobbies)
The Europass is usedthroughout Europe so it is available in all European languages which makes it ideal for international applications. Therefore you can use the Europass CV if you want to apply for a job in another European country. What is special about the Europass CV is that you can complete and present your skills and competences in a structured way.
It is also expected that employers will increasingly ask for the Europass CV in future when they advertise a vacancy. Europass makes it easier for them to compare and assess candidates’ skills and competences.
The CV has a useful function allowing you to complete it online but you can also download a blank copy. The links below take you to a European web site where you can fill in your CV and update an existing one (XML format). Any sections you do not want to use can just be left blank and will not appear on your finished CV. If you want to send more extensive information, about your language skills, previous work placements abroad or qualifications, for example, you can use the other Europass documents to complement the Europass CV.
